Student Welfare Personnel
Debney Park Secondary College has a very strong commitment to supporting young people to achieve their full potential in learning and accessing a successful secondary education. The college has wide ranging policies and programs to assist young people, as well as a strong staff commitment to student welfare.
This is demonstrated in the collegeıs team approach to student welfare and management.
- The Core Program. All students in Years 7-10 have two periods of
Core each week. The Core teacher is usually a subject teacher who
is able to closely monitor studentsı progress and welfare. The Core
program at each level delivers Drug Education, an Anti Bullying program
and team building, It also promotes and educates young people on issues
such as the environment, racism, study skills, stress management and
a range of health issues.
