Debney Park Secondary VCE Prospectus

At Debney Park Secondary College we offer you a broad range of courses and study options which provide proven pathways to any type of tertiary, vocational training or employment option you choose.

The College is serious about providing a 'young adult learning' environment where senior students are given a great deal of responsibility and are expected to display leadership and provide strong role models within the college community.

The College offers programs within the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Features of our Later Years Programs include:

•  proven tertiary entrance courses and programs with a strong academic emphasis

•  a comprehensive support program including English as a Second Language classes, a homework club which operates twice weekly, a Study Skills camp/school based program and extensive counselling

•  Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools courses which enable students to achieve a full VCE and complete VET in Schools or TAFE Certificates within the usual two year time span

•  the opportunity to participate in accredited programs at local TAFE colleges

•  flexible enrolment where students can enrol in Units 1 - 4 depending on their interest and abilities

Debney Park Secondary College prides itself on being small enough to offer a supportive and caring atmosphere but big enough to offer a comprehensive VCE and VCAL program.

Students in years 11 and 12 are encouraged to show leadership through participation in extra curricular activities, sporting teams and student government.

We encourage the enrolment of continuing students, overseas students and part time students who would like to join our dynamic VCE and VCAL programs.
